The Painted Diaries – April (part 2)

Some interesting queens have appeared in my art journal over this past week. My pages are becoming more and more curved around what lies beneath them. That’s one way to be sure there is some good 3D texture going on!

Tin foil

Washi tape

I love how the light reflects off the glitter.

Masking tape

Who knew masking tape could look so pretty?

Reward stickers

I bought these Paperchase reward stickers several years ago at a time when I needed this queen in my life!

Embroidery thread

I was so happy to finally use some of the beautiful embroidery thread I have had for years. I’m not sure why I bought it, seeing as I don’t know how to embroider. Perhaps because my Bobba was an incredible embroidery artist?

This month’s theme has been a great way to use some of the many materials I have left over from my crafting days, such as beads from jewellery making and wool from knitting.

It’s just over halfway through the month and I’m starting to run out of obvious choices. I wonder what materials I will use next? I look forward to showing you what I’ve been up to. See you next week!
